Our family recently got to tag along on a quick weekend trip to this city for Ben’s Half Ironman triathlon, and there was much to enjoy, do, and see!

Asheville is a great city, a quick road trip from Nashville. Favorite spots include Bearwallow hike, Blue ridge parkway, Catawba falls. There are more breweries than can be counted.
We made a stop here for the first time since college, and it was so fun to show our kids some staple New Orleans experiences like beignets, the zoo, and crawfish.
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans and enjoyed using our new globalist status for some fun perks.

On a more recent family trip to Orange Beach, we stayed at the lovely Holiday Inn Express Orange Beach. This beachfront location was perfect for us & the kids being able to go back and forth between pool and beach.
The Gulf Coast has the closest beaches to our land-locked Tennessee. We’ve listed the best places to stop along the way!
