TRAVELING LITTLE MORSELS

Things to Do and Places to Eat: Orange Beach with Kids

On our most recent trip to Orange Beach, we spent the majority of our time at the pool and beach. Really, we didn’t need a lot more than that. We made sure to sunscreen up and spent most of our days going back and forth between the pool and the beach. For more about our drive, see here and for more on our hotel see here

Near our hotel was a Publix where we were able to pick up some cool drinks and snacks for the week. Instead of going out for every meal, a meat and cheese tray or are good alternatives to help save costs.

Adventure Island Mini-Golf

We took a break from the beach on one of the days and went to Adventure Island to play a round of mini-golf. It was a basic course, but the kids enjoyed the volcano theme. This place also had go-karts and an arcade that we didn’t do on this trip, but will be great on a future trip.

Favorite Restaurants for Kids

Patio restaurants: We are still preferring outdoor restaurants and found a few great ones that we highly recommend.

Docs Seafood: This was really close to the hotel. It gets busy so be prepared that there may be a wait.  It advertises “the best fried shrimp in the civilized world” so of course we got fried shrimp and it was delicious! You also get to enjoy a fantastic outdoor space with cornhole and Connect 4. We would definitely come back again

Luna’s: This restaurant was about 10 minutes away towards the top of the Sound. We found that there were less touristy options as you get further away from the beach. There was a large beer selection and everyone was very friendly. The food was a mix of southern and seafood, which was fresh and yummy. There was a great patio and outdoor space to hang.

We had a great time in Orange Beach! Tell me more about your favorite places to eat, drink, and and play!
