We recently spent a few days at they Hyatt Regency in Maui. Highlights include pool slides, Hawaiian themed activities and beach. And shave ice of course.
This was a simple getaway for me and the kids, and we found ourselves a lovely playground, delicious food, and a fun museum.

Asheville is a great city, a quick road trip from Nashville. Favorite spots include Bearwallow hike, Blue ridge parkway, Catawba falls. There are more breweries than can be counted.

We saw so many travel blogs raving about this resort just east of Austin, so we knew we had to make it one of our destinations.
We made a stop here for the first time since college, and it was so fun to show our kids some staple New Orleans experiences like beignets, the zoo, and crawfish.
